Artists-in-Residence: Jennida Chase and Hassan Pitts

Creative Greensboro will welcome filmmakers Jennida Chase and Hassan Pitts, known collectively as S/N, to the Greensboro Residency for Original Works from October 14 to December 15. During their stay, they will create and present “Gate City: Playable Space,” an immersive installation that combines light, texture, sound, and video to make a space for exploration and interaction.
The public is invited to the opening of the installation on Thursday, November 6, from 6 to 9 pm. On Friday, November 7, there will be a First Friday celebration. After these events, the installation will be open to visitors during regular weekly hours: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, until the residency ends on December 15.
“Gate City: Playable Space” will also be open to visitors during downtown Greensboro’s Festival of Lights on Friday, December 5. Visitors can step inside this living, cinematic world and see how light, sound, and movement turn the space into a place for play.
The temporary installation, Gate City: Playable Space, will be open to the public during special events and regular hours. Admission is free.
